Wuxi Tengu(*) Software Development was founded by a Japanese business professional Kieth Zeng曾 in January 2009.
One of the early commer to the market in Jiangsu Area in China.
With several international connection to Japan, US and Europe, we are the evangelist of Ruby and Ruby on Rails technology to Chinese and outside China market.

* What does "Tengu" mean?
Our company name "Tengu" have several meanings as follows:
- Mr. Masumitsu's Nickname
- Monster in the mountain
- Old Japanese tobacco brand
When Mr. Masumitsu got MBA study, he and his friends sometimes go out for a drink. His face turns red very quickly. One of his American friend called him: "Oh, you tengu!"
In Japanese legend, Tengu is seen as a moster (close to some kind of god) in the montain who knows a lot of knowledge in the world. It is said that since someone who has a lot of knowledge the guy turns to tengu and only way to improve his situation is to teach his knowledge someone. Could be said the icon of teacher in my understanding (This is not general understanding among japanese though), since Kieth has some passion to spread out Ruby and Rails to young generation here. It would somewhat make sense to use it for Kieth...again it is not so common thoughts though.
In Kieth hometown, used to be there is a very successful business person about 100 years ago. The name of his company was tengu tabacco. I respect him since he did a lot of success in terms of very funny and brand new marketing technique.
